New View was called to replace the windshield on a 2013 Winnebago Vista. The windshield had a 20-inch crack and was also extremely loose, which is a serious issue. The windshield on this body style is a structural component critical to the integrity of the front cap.
If the motorhome were to be in an accident with a loose windshield, the front cab would not stay together as the engineers designed it, and serious injury could occur.
New View identified significant amounts of rust that had undermined the adhesive. We removed the rust so the new windshield would have a solid, clean frame for the adhesive to attach to.
Now the Vista is back to its original factory specifications and is ready to head down the road safely.
Winnebago is notorious for this issue, so make sure when you replace a windshield you find a shop that is capable of addressing rust issues, or you could wind up with structural failures.
If you have a Winnebago of any year or model with a rust under the adhesive problem feel free to give New View Auto Glass a call at (714) 890-1347 or use our handy contact form.
